Old and Young

Sooner or later,
you will have to,
bid farewell to a stage,
known as Youth.

The feel of it,
gives you a thrill.
Old age is to be thought,
only for, who are old.

Without realizing that,
Age will soon catch up.
And then youth will only be,
in past tense in our memories.

Losing and gaining is,
part and parcel of life.
You gain wisdom,
by losing youth.

Which one will you choose,
which one will you prefer.
The smarter version of you,
or with looks and a little dumber.

Being old or young,
is not in our hands,
so why we should bother,
to choose among either.

Dont worry my friend,
This phase will pass soon.
You came crying in this world,
you will have to go back laughing.
