The Soldier

One day a young couple sent their nineteen year old son out to war.
the following month he wrote them a letter saying:
I have a friend that has lost his legs in the war, will you let him come home and stay with us?
The parents wrote back: Of course we will.
The following month he wrote back to his parents:
I have a friend who has lost both of his arms in the war, would you let him come and stay with us, and take care of him?
The parents wrote back, of course we will.
The son wrote back a month later:
I have a friend who has lost both his arms and his legs in the war, will you let him come home and live with us?
The parents wrote back:
Im sorry son, but a man with no arms or legs is too much for us to handle. He cannot come live with us.

Soon after they sent the letter, they recieved another letter, this time not from their son. The letter informed them that their son had committed suicide.
The parents were devastated.
When the parents went to get their sons body for a proper funeral they discovered that their son had no arms or legs.
