Crossing the raging, furious river,
Two solemn sailers watch fearlessly as they shiver.
Knowing their deaths will soon arrive,
Their thoughts and feelings take a depressing dive.
The knowledge of leaving their family and friends,
One sheds a tear, as the river bends.
Looking at their situation, cliff face on either side,
Seeing the end, wondering what brought them on this ride.
Watching the river, a man sees a shape,
A craft heading for the edge, no escape.
One cries out desperately, dreading the fall,
About to drop off a cliff, 2000 feet tall.
Yet one man just sits there, taking it all in,
He knows where he’s going, he is content within.
This was his time; fate had brought him here,
He is safe within God, nothing to fear.
For the end of this one life, was just the start of another,
One which would last forever, he will see his father.
He will miss his daughter, now almost seven,
But he knows he will see her someday in heaven
