About destruction at one of my favourite places.
for fun?
That is no reason for such inhumane action. It looks like
they've been torn from their sockets-- twisted like a screw
until the weight was unbearable and simply caused them
to splinter. What were they trying to achieve? A bloody
footpath in the sky? They must have been high. Or mad;
nobody sane would cause such pain to that which
keeps them alive.

Innocence destroyed because of chalky arrows. One after
the other, marking out a route to a place of 'strictly no
camping,' and what a rave of a time those
humans must have had; the dirt’s clean, sand's washed away,
metal could recharge the cars that left the carcasses and
the essence of the filters of a pleasant life find their
way into the beaks of know no better.

The chase was weeping.

There was no singing; and the woodpecker was silent--
perhaps dead from a broken heart when he was awoken by
the hounds of humanity. The trees swayed restlessly,
scared that their surviving branches would be plucked from their
bark. The squirrels and rabbits were hiding; even the mud had hardened
alongside the bracken and the blossom cowered
from the suns falling rays.

The earth was soft and bouncy.

They will live; their beauty (our skills), their intelligence (our waste), their life (our death) may be scattered along the lost
floors for others to trip amongst but only a ring
around the trunk will destroy them; for they are smart. Strong. They will live
but for how long?

All I wanted to do was to walk my dog but the curse had
already sunk into the earth and the atmosphere rested within the leaves, twigs, branches, earth, roots and lives

of those who had the right.
