One in my series about young children, and joy.
Today I will crouch behind park benches
With edger anticipation of my finger pouncing
To press the button on my camera
That will capture a millisecond of magic
On film.

Run while you can
I’m a man on a mission
I’m going to infect this earth with euphoria
And you can’t stop me.

Today i will roam these city streets
With just my camera in hand
Converse on feet
Just another dreamer
With just another dream.

I will follow romping children
Diseased with delight
Attempt to capture their contagious smiles
And unleash a vivacity upon the world
Not even the most determined to be depressed
Will be able to fight

Run while you can
I’m subjecting young children to my evil ploy
You can’t stop me now
From spreading their  joy.
