This is about a man lost in love
Tired, but cannot sleep. The mind wanders in the obscured and endless circle of futility seeking a flick of hope to continue. Each step on the darkest ground leads deeper into an empty void of desolation. The heart pounds harder and beckons for the journey to end and the hardship to cease. The eyes perceive a minuscule speck of dreams here and there, but the distance is unattainable. The skin shivers in the cold of loneliness, scrubbing against dead tree trunks and rough surfaces of resentment. Beads and beads of sweat roll down the face and wet the lips; the bitter saltiness hits and excites every taste bud on the tongue. The damped hair blowing back from the breeze of solitude, fights to retain its shape, and grows longer and whiter each passing moment since the man is lost in love.
His suffering is caused by one and only one woman. She is ambivalent to his suffering, yet providing enough power to tread on the broken soul of the poor man. He goes through each of his day hurt. He wants to be free from her yoke. He yearns to regain his happiness and freewill. He only has to say “no, it’s over.” However, he is bounded by the bitter sense of friendship that creates a tremendous guilt in him whenever he thinks of breaking off from this girl. He loves her dearly, but does not like her anymore. He is walking the path layered with flaming hot coal burning passionately to be with her. His own time merely stops to yield to her demand on every second of the day. But what can a man do when she blatantly rejected him? He can only gaze blankly at the empty future of him and her. He can only sacrifice his personal happiness to obtain a few awkward silent moments with her. He can only look at her through the corner of his eye since she always tells him not to look at her. He can only hope against all hopes and wish against all wishes that one day she will recognize his devotion to her, physically and emotionally.
The tears once formed around his eyes now dried and carried with them his good memories. The broken image can’t ever be mended by a few words of friends or close ones. At this moment, he dreams that the triton of the deep ocean has pierced his body and torn it into a thousand pieces, thus he could be transformed and returned to mother earth. The air is hard to breathe now that the heart does not wish to carry on its beat. The stench of betrayal floats in the air and chokes the happy pictures of the past, blurs the present and completely hide the future.
“Please let me be who I want to be. Please let me be who can take care of you. Please let me be,” he yelled.
Let him be indeed for no one cares for him anymore, nor does he for himself. She is gone and will not return. Her body and soul, her scent, her touch, her feeling, her voice. They have vanished, or perhaps shattered. No more She. He yelled. No More. No more.
         Let him be.
It is possible for a lost man in the forest to find his way out. But, it is impossible to get out of her entangled web. Like a black-widow, she used him. She sucked the very life out of his existence, and sent him on the spiral way down into the deep realm of distress. So let him be.
Oh poor guy. Oh poor guy. His doom foretells the stories for us all. Imbedded in our blood the lust devil with its long black tail and great white horn. Let him be. Let him be dead now. Let his soul leave his body. Let his mind shut. Let his heart turn cold and his body goes limp. Let him be.
