Valentines

Roses are analogous of my love –
I crave them at predictable times
Their presence or lack thereof, is mood altering.
During their prime nothing is more vibrant
As time goes on their existence loses importance
Their demise is foreshadowed by beauty lost.
And in the end the rose is a meaningless token
Of love not meant to last.
