understand the characters way of thinking then realized the it was written threw his lens
Awakened by a soft exhale, he kissed her forehead as he always did, prompting her to fidget in his arms. It was a habit he adopted from his ex, as she used the same sign of affection as a way to show her admiration for his love and attention. Of course, for him, it was a crutch used to substitute that very same admiration.

He wasn’t a bad guy, at-least that’s what he told his self every morning, and in some respects it was true. The string of women, lies, and manipulation where just his way of surviving a society he was born into; One in which he wasn’t particularly a fan of. He could hear the ticking from his watch. Thrown lazily on the ground but wedged against the wall, the slight vibration it released was enough to catch his attention, and earn his focus for a few seconds.

He’d always awakened like this, slightly more coherent then he was in his full conscious, but his brain still fatigued enough to know it needed a few minutes to reboot. Snaking his arm free, he reminisced about the night’s prior experiences, smiling and stumbling to the bathroom he barely knew was there. Staring in the mirror he mentally prepared himself for the excuse he would deliver to his ex, as she had no clue the day was her last being his girlfriend.
He could feel her hand on his back, guiding its self to his waist, mirrored by the other hand as a pre-req to her lips grazing his shoulder. A Hug followed, as her smell filled his lungs and cradled his heart, causing it to beat faster with each second that past. He was interrupted, by a question with no answer…

“Baby ?”

Opening his eyes, he realized the seriousness of the mistake he had made. He was alone, and worse off his brain had finished rebooting.  Grabbing his watch and his cloths, he used his body to answer the question. Kissing her lips he replied…

“I’ll be back.”

… This, another trick he picked up from his ex. The irony of life … he learned that being a good partner, is what made him an excellent cheater; that it was the little everyday things  women appreciated most , and that if u mastered the art of caring , u could at-least  get your foot in the door,  as most men lack this  skill.
She didn’t even process the fact that he was leaving, or she didn’t care. Either way he was in the clear, so he didn’t either. Easing the door closed behind him, he paid special attention to any sound of movement thereafter. Mainly for practice, but in a hotel it was fairly hard to play stealth and he had no intentions to return. He checked his cell phone for text messages, and sure enough his girlfriend had left one:

From:  ~ Sweet Misery~
I Love You.
2:34 am

He smirked in amusement. There’s no escaping a woman’s intuition, the trick is training her not to trust it, and he was a self proclaimed professional. Making his way to the car his text her back:

Reply:
You wouldn’t believe what happened, ill be home n a few.
5:00 am

Getting in his car was a little more difficult then usual. Somehow, he had driven there with his seat closer then normal. As he turned the key, and the car began to hesitate. He pumped the gas, hoping this wasn’t the last time he’d driven it, rolling his eyes in frustration. Indecently, he caught a glimpse of skin out of the corner of his eye. Being the typical man he is, he stopped everything to focus on this half naked body rushing from the door next to his room.  In shock he released the key in the ignition, which prompted a slight ticking from his engine. As the young women dropped her phone, he received the final text from his girlfriend:

From: ~Sweet Misery~
Ok love, see u when u get …
