poem about the untimely death of my teenage cousin due to a car accident |
She touched many lives, a smile always on her face. A gentle young lady, full of vision, beauty, and grace. Helping hands, a kind word, she had for both young and old, Yet her spirit was courageous, forceful, even bold. Liked and respected, she was loved very much by all, So her passing from among us will leave a heavy pall Those of us who loved her, dare cry, asking "Oh God, why? Did this special gifted girl, so young have to die?" Karly, your short time with us will not be in vain. In our hearts and minds, you will always remain, The sweet daughter, grand-daughter, sister, cousin, friend, Who, on this road to a happy life, has just reached the end. Faster than we`d like, but who are we to question God`s way? All we can do now is try to understand and pray. Pray for the strength to carry on in this time of great strife, Now that your sweet, loving spirit, has passed from our life. God in his wisdom, for all of us he knows what is best. So, good-bye, for now, as you lay in eternal rest. |
