My Second Ever Poem

I sit here writing like I know the score
The funny thing is I’ve done it just once before

A poem that is, I’ve been reading a lot
I say to myself…”I’ll give it a shot”

Some have been great and I’ll never touch
The thoughts in their heads are just too much

It’s amazing how some people think
When they put on paper a little ink

They write about love and trust and hate
You know, the things that relate
To most common people for which I am one
It seems every day I’m dealing with one

They write of the hustle and bustle of life
They write of the things that go by in a trice

Life is a rush and it passes by fast
So read a poem or two
It just might make you laugh

I should talk about love
Cause the topic says so

Well, love equals passion
And mine I have found
It just might be poems
If you let me stick around
