A poem entering the dream world.
Sweet Reverie

The mist folds in from above the clouds
The air that blurs both sight and sound
The snow is falling you cannot feel
In this mythical tale that seemed so real

It carried you through
The oceans vast
The valleys deep
The mountain’s pass

You walk among heroes of old
You hear the stories they should have told

You hero, you villain
You petty face
The pinnacles of your life,
But in a hidden place

Upon the mountains and into the hills
You live out the heart’s secret thrills.

But just when the fog begins to clear
You succumb to the darkness’ bitter fear
You stumble and then, begin to plunge
Back to reality from whence you’ve come
