For Stormy Lady's contest: Betrayal is a one-sided matter
To Have Lost
June 12, 2007

Words linger in the air
Someone is crying

Not you, it's not you
It's your fault

You have lost

Oh, the feeling that must be

Knowing of the false faces
Knowing that some people
Are not as faithful

You have to hide behind
Your laugh and smile
But you knew

If only they knew

If only your dearest friends knew

Does it hurt so much
To face the truth?

Is that why you turn
Your head away?

From the harsh cruelty?

There are many fragile hearts
There are many shallow minds

If you think you are delicate,
Then don’t try breaking others

If you think you are invincible,
Then don’t dare destroying others

Harmony and comrades
Goes hand in hand
If everyone follows
Imagine the content peace

But as it is, it is only a dream

We all dream
Wealth, health
Monetary, life

Yet

What lies in your ability, your forte
Is your mouth and the words
That slips between your lips

Every sharp edge cuts deep
The acid burns through

A false smile upon friendly faces
A barrier of the cold hearted

So much to hate, so much not
The anger that flares
Reflects the missing fire
To the one you subdue

For when the time is right
When their backs are turned
You always strike

You have grown so much
Because of them
You turn your head
For them
You let them
You let down your only good friend

You have lost
Wished death to another
Behind them, betray them

Now they are no longer

Follow the golden rule
Be friendly to those you like
Be hating to those you don’t

Bona fide your act
Don’t lie your way out

Smile and disgust
A horrible combination

So change your ways
Open your mind
Be true to yourself
And to others

Or

You will lose
