In the grand scheme of it all

when conscience touched the sky.

It seemed some vast, expansive uniformity

transcended the confines of time.

The stars in their inherent brilliance

came crashing down around me.

Without warning, the freedom

to experience digression's denigration

became as dreams, like dust

scattered in the wind.

And I was saddened by uncertainty.
