There is a girl
Who smiles endlessly
Behind the glee
Is a constant plea
Affection shared
Never returned
How long can this last
Before all hope are in the past
She can no longer pretend
For he belongs to someone else
No efforts or loyalty

He stays by her side
Hoping she can't see
