an intense feeling of desire

love. an intense feeling of extreme desire for another human being. everyone feels love. just like everyone feels pain. just like everyone breathes. love is something that everyone has. love for your parents. love for your friends. love for your dog. love for your guitar. so on and so forth. love has become a general term for something you hold high in your life.

love, to me, is something special shared between two people. who understand each other, care deeply for each other, and want to be together. they want to waste all their time together. they enjoy each other's company that much.

could you imagine spending the rest of your life with the person you're with now? imagine the fights. imagine the conflict of opinions. there's millions of bad things you can imagine.

but then again, there's also amazing, wonderful things you can imagine. like the connection you know you have. the true connection that you feel with that person. you know that no human could break it, other than you and your loved one. you feel binded to that person, only in a good way. you want to have that ball and chain to them. you want them to weigh you down. stop you from doing things you know are bad for you.

everyone wants someone that understands them and knows everything about them. who doesn't want the connection? but do you know how hard it is to upkeep that connection? having someone who knows everything about you is setting yourself up for the ultimate let down. if that person were to reject you, the pain would never settle.

this is why we save this connection for husbands and wives. and everything that comes with it. the baggage is sometimes unbearable. but as humans, we feel emotion, and we have this connection sometimes at our young age. it's how we deal with it that defines who we are. you can live in fear of the connection, or you can take the chance, and perhaps find the greatest thing you can ever imagine. then again, you take the chance of having someone who is scared of commitment. and wants to run at the first dark patch.

choose your loved ones wisely. they can make or break you. you can feel unimaginable joy. or heartwrenching, lifeshattering pain.
