boy do i hate titles! written about my darling boy.
he put his faith down in my love
he put it down
he said - God i should never write no songs
he said - God i am just like my father
well
i love him anyway.
no one sees nobility anymore,
him sleeping on the floor
or putting hands on my shoulders everywhere i go.
he worries for me and for my decisions made
he says
you are the earth i put my head down on and put myself to sleep there
i can rest easy.
the wind blew
the air was flooded with cottonballs from the trees above our home.
it was almost going to rain
and then it did -
how alive the world had been,
how dead the world seems now.
