A poem written on rediscovering sensual love
Now your skin is quiet,
now warm,
now warm and quiet
like August and evening
and moist
where it melts,
moist where we meet
and smooth on my chest,
and fragrant and soft
like summer's breath
or folded silk,
sleeping, sighing,
sweet pores open,
wet lips parted,
speaking in a whisper,
or was it the wind?--
This is knowing, once for all,
this is both beginning and end
