Violet K

Officially, Violet Fabala Kaiser is the name of the protagonist in “Different” by Violet Kaiser. Violet is a sixteen-year-old girl who does not have any hope or optimism in her veins. Violet was born in a wagon on her way to the hospital and she was a boy. Violet is transgender and has taken on an appearance all her own. Violet looks like she is the kind of girl who thinks happy thoughts and believes in her dreams, she is strong willed at heart but her life seems to revolve around the opinions of others. Violet has been mocked and gawked at for her choice of being different from everyone else and she deals with whatever comes her way. Her signature phrase is “Come what may and hell to pay”. Violet is based on the author/illustrator in her teen years. Violet is somewhat of a snob at times but she has a kind and humble heart when it all comes down to it. In addition to being a Protagonist, Violet is also the main target of blackmail for her friend Kolton.
Appearance
Violet is tall and semi-dark skinned. She is about five-foot-seven and she has a thing about her growth genes. Her hair is long, reaches her waist, is soft black (dark, dark brown) and is flecked with tiny amounts of grey and blonde. She is a very feminine young lady indeed and is a bit of a little girlish dresser. Violet normally wears her hair pulled back if not, then in a ponytail. Both of which, she always has a scrunchie or ribbon.
She wears pastel-hued dresses that generally have short, puffy sleeves. Her dresses are often lacey or embroidered with very beautiful patterns, often roses, peach blossoms, hearts or butterflies. She sheaths her “beanpole-shaped” legs in stockings that are more like socks or in lace-trimmed crew-cut socks. She wears slip-on sneakers that are a cream and rose-pink color. She owns about 2 necklaces one of which Kolton gave her and the other which has been passed down in her family for generations (10 to be exact). Her eyes are brown and although she owns glasses, she is hardly ever seen with them on. She does need them but she does not like them because she believes that they make her look “ugly” and “stupid”.
She is a resilient girl who can recover from misfortune easily when she believes she ca. She is really a soft-hearted girl and she stands up for what she believes when motivated or encouraged. Most of her encouragement comes from her friend Kolton.
