My Brainectomy

So I’ve taken it out and laid it on the table,
A knife and a saw was all that it took.
I peer over the table edge at its gelatine like warble,
Poke it once to see if it squiggles,
Look aghast as it starts to wiggle.

I stand up and scream, “Pile of shit I told you not to think!”
Massage my head and mumble,"I need a drink."

It inches away as I seizure in my fit,
With little self repose I certainly can’t deal,
“You want out? Get out,” I squeal!
I hold the door ajar and stand eyes to roof,
It’s better not to bargain when your brains aloof.

With one last look my brain hoping for an appeal,
I cup my hands “Be gone, get lost, you’re not for real!”
I slouch on the couch and begin to congeal.

Drooling and numb I click the remote,
“My life now bitch, I’m living it up.”
Safe at last from its clutches I do as I please,
Beer after beer I try to appease.

There in the window peeking at me,
With a roar and quip I reach for my gun,
All shiny and long it’s surely the one,
A boom and a crack it plants me on my ass,
I rush to the door and search for my brain,
Nowhere in site now ain’t that a shame.

Asleep in my chair from the drink I adore,
It snuck up on me and pinned me on the floor,
“You ain’t got no reason, no rhyme to implore,”
Once again I’m a slave to the brain that I’ve got,
It reads and it writes but I still think with my cock!
