It was a quiet life for Josh, till he found out his cousin, Travis, was to live with him. |
Josh woke up to loud thunder, rumbling in the sky. He pulled his covers close as a draft of cold air swept threw the attic, where he slept. He rolled over and looked at his clock. 4:52 am it blinked at him, it was the only source of light, besides the random flashes of lightning here and there. He kept rolling over till he found a comfortable spot, and fell asleep once more. He woke up again, to his mother yelling his name and saying he would be late for his bus if he didn't hurry. His room now was bright with sunlight. He pulled his blinds to block out what he could of the sun. Josh dressed slowly, into his normal apperal of ripped jeans, a random blue shirt, and a pair of very battered running sneakers. He patted his hair, noticing that his black hair fell into it position over his left eye. He felt for his lip ring and put it into his pocket, he'd put that in, once he left the house. Josh's parents didn't approve of facial peircings, or the way their son had decided to spend his spare time. He checked the time, his clock blinking 7:26 am. He grabbed his messanger bag, ran downstairs, and out the front door. As he rounded the corner of his street ,the bus pulled up cautiously. Josh made his way to the back of the bus, where his friends sat talking about their weekend. He nodded to everyone, and sat down. Another black haired boy popped up, over the back of the seat smilling, watching Josh put his lip ring in. "They still don't know do they?" Josh looked up, and shook his head, smilling."Nope, and I'm keeping it that way." He turned to face his friend,"How was your weekend, Mitch?" Mitch shrugged his shoulders, "Not to bad. What 'bout you, kid? Grounded again I take it?" Josh laughed. It was true, he was known to get grounded a lot over weekends, but luckily he wasn't for this one. He had to keep it that way, if he was going to go to the biggest concert of the year, next friday. The bus ride to school, mainly consisted of no talking, or small jokes, once and awhile. |
