A poem about a teens life and how hard it is to weigh the pressure of sports and school |
Sports and School It's hard to balance the two, you do something wrong you get a boo. You go to school as tired as can be, didn't study, you get a C. You deal with teachers and friends, you try to follow the latest trends. Sittin' in class, you look outside you see the beautiful mountainside. You go to practice, you work hard, go home and fall asleep in your yard. You wish you never lived; your life is crap, you work so hard and try to do so well, you think its ok but your life's a living.... You go to church you praise the lord, you see the girl you've adored. She's as beautiful as a tree in full bloom, you get shot down you're in a state of gloom. You'll get over it, you'll be fine, you can't help it, she was so divine. You go back to school, all you do is think to relieve stress your offered a drink, You say"no" you tell yourself "way to go." You go back to practice, your form is awesome, Your pumped up, you're ready for the game. The game goes well, you won! Season's over, finally done. Back to school, your in your least favorite class of the day, can't wait for the weekend, your going to the bay. You've gotten through another month of school, you've battled through you conquered sports, to yourself you were true. Never, ever, give up. |
