Prologue

Prologue:
A proclamation from King Benevuto to the citizens of Idania:

WHEREAS we endeavor to please Almighty God in all things,
WHEREAS the Holy Scriptures plainly decry witchcraft and sorcery in all forms,
WHEREAS the Lowlanders are increasingly giving themselves to sorcery,

THEREFORE we must break all contact with the diabolical Lowlanders.

FURTHERMORE:

WHEREAS the Lowland traders are familiar with the location of our city,
WHEREAS the Lowland traders will continue to intersect our city in order to move along their established trade routes,
WHEREAS scouts, commissioned by His Majesty, have located a suitable location for building a new city, secluded from Lowland sorcerers and safe from invading armies,

THEREFORE all citizens of Idania must ready themselves to relocate on the first day of the month of June the coming year.

FURTHERMORE: Any citizen unwilling to comply with this decree will be permanently cut off from contact with the citizens of Idania.

I, King Benevuto, so decree along with my council, on behalf of the good people of Idania, on this eighth day of the month of September.
