Lost and Found

The silence is deafening
The roar is too loud
Sometimes its easier to be lost
than to be found

The shadows beckon me
The night sky calls again
Tempting me...Torturing me
Like that of an evil twin

I'm lost in a sea of screams
So many people yelling in my ears
And yet they wonder why
When I break down into tears

I'm a grown adult
with some experience under my belt
Yet no one cares what I went through
Or what I felt

But here I am standing tall
Broken and beaten, bruised and torn
Just poised and ready
To take this world by storm
