Loves Memories

Everywhere I look
Everywhere I turn
A memory reminds me
Yet I have to learn
It’s just a memory
It’s not true
All that I have left
Are memories of you
A tingle down my spine
A smell of perfume in the air
An unsettling thought
You’re now not there
My best friend
The one I loved for sure
The one I knew was right
You were the one I’m sure
Now only to hear
A silence of a phone
You left me hanging
Heart shattered and alone
It all comes back to you
You hurt the one who truly loved you
You did the one thing you feared
Someone would do to you
I want it to be over
Just all the pain to be through
I gave my life, my love
It just wasn’t enough for you
