I'm trying to understand your meaning...
Love

I'm trying to understand your meaning, your purpose, your existence.
Do you lie within my definition or can you be found among the general?
You are a stranger, leading me into the depths of emptiness and leaving me stranded.
Too many journeys have I traveled in your company, only to be left ignorant
With feelings of loneliness, confusion, and disappointment.
Too many times have I been your fool.
I have become so niave and dependent in your presence,
Grasping on to your ever-so-sweet, lingering, residual aura of emotion.
I'm falling in and out of you.
Captivated by your essence.
Taken with the L. the O., V. and E. that is your creation.
Infatuated with brief bouts of your being.
I want you.
I feel I need you, but I have come to the realization that the feeling is not mutual.
I've been searching only to discover the strongholds of heart-ache and pain.
Or could I be wrong? Could it be that I have only encountered your prototypes.
