A romanticized persceptive of how our "words" may view us as writers.
Written in an extreme and romanticized perspective of how words speak to me, calling attention to themselves as willing participants in one of my writings. And how these words may view us, the writers and poets. Life supplies much better stuff than does a thesaurus.

use me

Its strange, the divinity felt
as I drink in the beauty of the English Language
& her potions of expression.
words—phrases
speak to me saying, “Take me & run."
“Have courage, do not look back."
They sing to me in lilting song,
“ Use me, make me into something beautiful;
something your own.
Paint your picture of life & laughter;
                              litanies of love
but use me in your tapestry of words
I will not disappoint
I will not let you down
Spin your vast & intricate web
with me as your golden thread
I, the magical muse of
a maddening mandala.
Make me into something lordly
with noble & chivalrous appeal
avail me as truth
but in a way that will
unlock man’s defenses
break down the walls
                    the barriers that separate the people
employ me in the spread of love &
                                  kindness
to make the little ones smile again
to relieve the old one’s minds
from grief and a life filled with regret
use me & I will lead you to
others of my kind &
together we will forge behind you & you galvanic command,
oh warrior poet, oh great general,
as a mark of monumental achievement like the Great Wall;
like the momentous power of the rushing force of the warhorse that
drives the mighty Euphrates as an ancient
symbol of natural power & glorious splendor.
For we can be as an awesome army ~ a phenomenal weapon of war
but we are nothing while scattered apart by the four winds
yet together we are strong
Sow us as seed in the minds of all men
to grow & prosper with the wise
to infect & fester with the fool
but use us to cast your spell upon the world
Wield our force in the face of evil
offer us (as) a sacrifice on the altar of History
for unlike human life – we percolate in the cycles of reincarnation
& you poet are our god
