I'll make you laugh, and make you think.
So how much longer, until we get there?
And how much farther, haven't time to spare.
Now I'd like to stand, no thanks for the chair.

With the Mrs. and Sissy, her new doll.
Had to go shopping to avoid a brawl.
This is forever known, as the long haul.

Went out with the boys for poker one night.
Came home to this awful disturbing sight.
Thought she was mad and mean enough to bite.

Coffee cup missed my head, broke at the wall.
Laugh when I tripped on toys, stairs broke my fall.
It's minor junk now; consider the long haul.

Forgiveness is also a proper "F" word.
More often sought than used, given or heard.
Use when you're tired of being spurred.

So I took both the girls out to the mall.
It's not that I'm ashamed or feeling small.
Don't want a stupid fight, then have to crawl.

No fighting or shopping, feeling worthless.
We're here for one reason, just one purpose.
Our destination found in due surplus.

Avoid the barrage of the Mrs.' squall.
Compromise on something, please heed my call.
Try to stay together, for the long haul.
