My first short story, so please be honest with reviews.
I sit in the rain calling your name
The only response I get is the patter of the raindrops on the street
“John!”, I call, but it is too late.
You are too far away.
Gone forever.
A feeling of emptiness washes over me,
The emptiness of a black hole
My heart starts to tear into shreds.
I can feel the intense pain shoot throughout my body.
The pain of loneliness that cuts like a knife.
You, and only you, were my life.
Now, there is nothing left for me here
In this brutal town.
I rush to my house,
Up the stairs to my room.
Lock my door tight.
I search under my bland bed
This is the last time I will ever see this place
I feel my hand brush the slick surface of a wood chest
“Goodbye, cruel world”, I mumble to myself
The blade feels cold pressed deep into my skin.
Almost as cold as your heart.
Just a little deeper and I will be gone from this anguish-full life
Yes, I have made it. I am here at last.
It is cold here. Almost like freezer.
Where am I, you ask.
I am gone. Away from everything that ever mattered.
I am dead. But it is a peaceful dead.
I am finally at rest in this wonder-filled place called heaven.
It is my utopia.
