The Sun and the Moon

The Sun and the Moon dance by Day and by Night,
Light and Shadows, Shadows and Light,
One must send the other into Flight -
  Into the absolute Darkness.

These Two souls are entwined by Fate,
The early Dawn, the Dusk that is late,
One binds the other, by Love and by Hate -
  Into the absolute Darkness.

The deepest Sorrows, the Joy to be merry,
For Life and for Death, one dancer can't tarry,
For One binds the other unto the Ferry -
  Into the absolute Darkness.

The Strong and the Wise, the Weak and the Remiss,
All are acquainted with the deep Emptiness,
And Two destined souls depart without a Kiss -
  Into the absolute Darkness.
