TANYA’S eyes open and she scrambles to her feet

TANYY
Who are you? How do you know who I am?

HUNTSMAN
That is none of your concern!

HUNTSMAN grabs TANYA’S forearm. We see a black design on her wrist

HUNTSMAN
This is a stroke of luck

TANYA yanks her arm away from HUNTSMAN and runs through the trees.

The HUNTSMAN takes chase.

We see HUNTSMAN pursuing TANYA through the bush

HUNTSMAN and TANYA reach a clearing

HUNTSMAN
Give up now and I will make it painless...I promise

TANYA shakes her head in disagreement

HUNTSMAN
Look around you TANYA, there is nowhere to run

TANYA
You’re wrong about that

TANYA runs up a small rise in a gap in the trees

CUT TO: EXT. NIGHT – EXIT OF FOREST, SOMEONES PROPERTY

TANYA bursts out of the forest breathing heavily

We see TANYA run towards a small white cottage and bang on the door.

TANYA
(In a panicked voice)
Help me, somebody please!

We see a light come on behind the curtains

The curtains are drawn across as the door is opened

We see the HUNTSMAN come out of the door brandishing a bloody knife

HUNTSMAN
No more running. This ends now

TANYA screams

FADE FROM BLACK: INT. MORNING – TANYA’S BEDROOM

We hear a quavering HUNTSMAN voice

HUNTSMAN
This ends now

TANYA wakes up screaming and breathing hard. She looks at her wrist and sees that her tattoo has now turned red

CUT TO: INT. MORNING – SCHOOL LOCKER ROOM

We see TANYA run up the ramp to join her two friends SARAH and JENNA

TANYA
Hey girls

SARAH AND JENNA
(In unison, heads in lockers)

TANYA
Seen CASEY around?

It is silent. SARAH and JENNA shut their lockers and turn to face TANYA

TANYA follows MRS WOODS into the kitchen

TANYA takes a seat opposite MRS WOODS

We see TANYA run over to CASEY’S body. She kneels and searches for a minute

We see TANYA hold up a small silver key

We hear a disturbance in the flax bushes behind her.

TANYA looks over her shoulder then runs up the hill

CUT TO: EXT. TREEGATE – LATE NIGHT

LOW ANGLE SHOT OF TREEGATE

PAN TO: TANYA RUNNING UP THE HILL

TANYA reaches TREEGATE and inserts the key into the keyhole.
Nothing happens

TANYA
(Angrily)
I thought the key would open the gate and end this!

HUNTSMAN
(Behind TANYA)
I’m sorry TANYA, but the rules of the game have changed.

TANYA
You can’t do this.

HUNTSMAN
I just did. It’s time I claimed my last soul.
