In a hurry, but too late

to find a soul, to find your mate

the train has left, your standing in the rain

the love rushes through, you feel the pain

your heart is breaking, you start to cry

your heart shatters,you want to die

to love another, you will not do

to feel again terrorfies you

to hope, to wish, to chance

to smile, to laugh, to dance

to feel the sun upon you face

another time, another place

another life as someones wife

a child in spring, a wedding ring

and then you wake

and the dream is gone

life has passed you by
