I am a good listener.

I am calm,
I am collected,
I am restrained,
I am just.
I am angry,
I am filled with angst,
I am self-defeating,
I am victorious.

I am upset,
I am introspective,
I am hatred personified,
I am the nice guy.
I am everyone,
I am nothing,
I am lost again in myself,
I am on the true path.

I am your lover,
I am the enemy,
I am emotion-filled,
I am a robot.
I need to understand,
I mock comprehension,
I hide myself behind a premise,
I fear falsehood.

I skirt honesty,
I show disgust,
I embrace honor,
I laud embarassment.
I feed on sorrow,
I hug bitterness to my chest,
I revel in insecurity,
I marry distrust.

I love glory,
I am entranced by loyalty,
I lose myself to chivalry,
I long for escape.
I need acceptance,
I forsake fitting in,
I toss aside my dreams,
I swear not to settle.

I love you,
I hate myself,
I wish to be better,
but most of all,
I want to be me.
