The moment before I permenantly left England.
Foetal position, on the floor
Of my room (now?) (empty, cold)
As the taxi drew up
On the street outside.

Stared down the ceiling.
Each look for the last.

My life was folded,
Wrapped and packed.

My life was wrapped, smashed,
Folded and packed.
Never quite ready.

I lay on the floor;
Empty, first floor
Stared down the ceiling
As the taxi drove in.
