Our Inherited Identity

Part II

This, our inherited identity;

know that it does not,

cannot,

own our destiny.

Those deep spheres of thoughts impaled within;

that may say we suffer from orginal sin.

We do not have to carry that cross inside.

It was for us all, that our Jesus died.

Pray for each bigot, each liar, each fool.

each unforgiveness, each unwilling soul.

Exhume the evil, misfortunate ones,

fathers, the mothers, the daughters, and sons.

Fill up all the spaces with righting the wrongs;

for each soul on this earth does belong.

It is not for us to question

Not, maybe, for us to understand

Let go of the pain. Let go of the fear.

Pray our Heavenly Father finds us here.

from birth to death,

from dust to dust.

We ARE the change, We ARE the trust,

We ARE what our children will inherit -

from us.
