A poem that portays how I had felt about someone at that time. |
You bring me down I miss the way your eyes make my heart stop cold in my chest, how your soft caress take the strength from my legs, and the way your smile steals the breath from my lungs. I miss when you kiss me and time stands still, and how merely laying eyes upon you makes my life purposeful. I miss how your sweet embrace lets me know all is right, how your hair dances in the wind, and how my heart beats double time when you speak. Without you, life is hollow, unglamorous, and wasted upon the likes of me. Without you, the world is a drab, colorless place, void of merriment, cheer, or glee. A world of loneliness, despair, sorrow, desolation, and pain live in such a world. Every moment I spend with you is a treasury of laughter, a lifetime of happyness, a vault filled with content, my cup runeth over with joy. Every breath in your presense is serenity defined. My mind races to put words to my feelings, My voice fails me when I try to express my thoughts, My tongue drains of moisture when I approach, But my heart pleads louder than any rally of mankind. I miss you. |
