Written, from the deceased’s point of view, for a friend when her father died suddenly.
My Dear Family

My dear family,

Time will soon pass
And the pain will fade
Leaving you with
The memories we made.

I ask you to remember
The good times we had -
Memories that made us laugh
And those that made us sad.

Remember special moments
We have spent together
Like whenever you were down
And I'd make you feel better.

I used to comfort you
And chase away your fears.
How I could make you laugh:
Now, I bring you tears.

I ask you to cry for me
And release your stress,
But be sure they're tears of joy
For I am Heavenly Blessed.

Just keep my spirit alive
Within your heart.
Smile when you think of me,
And we shall never part.

I'll be your strength
When you feel weak;
I'll help you find the words
When you can't speak.

I'll be your eyes
Or even your ears
When you feel blind
Or cannot hear.

I will be the warmth
In the cold of night,
And when all seems dark,
I'll be your guiding light.

I'll be at Heaven's Gate
Waiting to welcome you in
When the time does pass
And we're together again.

My dear family.
