A poem dedicated to a boy I used to know. Nobody understood him but me.
Look into the poor boy’s eyes.
I guess you wouldn’t be surprised.
You put the fear and anger in them.
I guess you should be very proud.
How he’s always staring at the ground.
How he can’t sleep for days and days.
Because you couldn’t accept his ways.

Hush now child.
Look what they’ve done to you.
Just see what they’ve done to you.
How I wish none of this could be true.
But only if everyone knew.
What has happened to you.

Look into the poor boy’s eyes.
Inside his heart he cries.
For the trauma he sees.
When he closes his eyes.
Oh did you really care?
Or the thought too much to bear?
Because I don’t think you cared.
Or maybe you're just a fool.

Hush now child.
Look what they’ve done to you.
Just see what they’ve done to you.
How I wish none of this could be true.
But only if everyone knew.
What has happened to you.

I wonder if it’s true.
About you beating her.
Because if it’s true.
I know why he’s in fear.
I know why there’s fear in the poor boys eyes.
You should be ashamed.
Because you almost destroyed him.
But maybe you did.
Yes I think you did.
