As I get ready to go to bed
The thoughts of you are on my mind
And the minute the pillow touches my head
I know that my night will be just fine

Because thinking of you comforts me
Makes me relaxed as I close my eyes
But when I do it is you I see
As I picture you today as you cried

To have a chance to hold you close
And whisper comforting words to you
To warm your soul as you do to most

And be with you beyond your sorrows end
