Songs die when the heart breaks, but there's hope when Nature heals and offers a new song.
                   "No More Flat-line Songs"

Eons ago yesterday,
all that was left for her to say
was sung in a flat-line song.
She thought her heart had ceased to belong.

Memories of the past, when romance was once a tease
by the light of midnight's moon
and sweet whispers in the breeze,
the lovers had claimed their favorite tune.
Timeless promises to popular music was made.
"Always, forever, and enduring," they did declare.
There was giddiness and laughter, as the couple played.
He and she were indeed a lovely pair.

Suddenly, songs stood still;
this day her heart stumbled on its beat and lost its will.
When disappears the happy muse,
only loneliness and sadness now ensues.
No one really knows,
but as the long time story goes,
it was told of no more lovers' dance;
nary even a second chance.

Rumors he left her for another to embrace;
never a pardon, nor a goodbye, not even,"See you around".
He turned away from her tear stained face.
There, her heart had fallen to the ground,
where she timely found delicate creatures,
such as grasshoppers, ladybugs, dragonflies, and bumblebees;
all those in nature's realm with tiny features.
Even the magic of love and healing gifted by the faeries.

Earth's Spirits began to dance and sing merrily;
a promise of happiness, love, and glee for an eternity.
With every nighttime glow and morning's sparkling dew,
the tiny lives would bring all life anew;
Mother Earth nurtures the forgotten, forlorn, and saddened soul.
With these healing songs, her spirit will surely grow.

No more flat-line songs,
for her heart sang where love truly belongs.
