This is a poem about the slow distruction of people
My first memory of the white angel,
She gave me a hug and a warm smile,
There was no trace of the black angel,
Creeping slowly inside her soul.

The white angel was everything you'd want to be,
Beautiful, kind, eyes filled with glee,
I remember what life was like before,
Before the black angel could see.

Then the black angel showed her face,
Slowly and weak at first, but she grew,
And now the black angel is trying,
Is trying to take her place.

My first memory of the black angel,
She stared at the wall and gave a confused look,
There was no trace of the white angel,
Trying to break free of the black angle's grasp.

The black angel is the pure sign of death,
Sick, pale, confused, and weak,
The white angel tried and tried to take a breath,
But all the blackness wouldn't let her to speak.

Believe it or not the black angel's in us all,
Invisible and silent waiting for white to fall,
In some the black angel doesn't show at all,
But when it does all you can do is run,
Run away and try,
To beat the black angel before you die.
