a gothic poem of a pagan nature writen in regards to my wife and my love for her |
she walks beneath the pale moonlight her fiery red hair flowing in the gentile breeze the lights from the night, and the mischieviouse fairies dance along the glossy waters, along the shores of era the emerald isle in all its grace and splender does not compare to the fiery red haired maiden that i have found by the sea i watched from a far, as she walked beneath the starie sky, the wind blew softly through the night, and her silky white gown ruffled and swayed gentle around her the nightingale birched high in the trees above me sang a malevolent, and sad song the fair maiden seemed troubled by life as i watched from among the grove of trees as she stepped gentle into cool crisp waters As she wadded into the shallow pool the fairies began to glow and dance around her as the lake waters grew deeper and deeper and then as if it were magic from the goddess her self layers of water began to rise and spiral around her i watched in amasement as the waters and faires seemed to dance around her, surrounding her in a cacoon, and close onto her And with that it was over the lights disapeared and the water fell back to its calm surface and the fiery red haired maiden was gone it was as if she was never there before there was no sign of the events i had just witnessed even took place, i stepped from my covered hiding spot beneath the grove of trees the maiden was gone, disapeared into the majestic show of water and lights and just as i reached the waters edge the sun broke free of the horizons grip and rose along the leaving nights sky and as i watched the golden dawn spread across the waters crystal surface unable to look away and from this roaring majestic beauty came a siren's song i looked but there was noone there i stepped out towards the sea following the sounds almost mesmerized as if the siren's song was calling me somewhere and then from nowhere it happened and from deep below the surface of the calm water came the fiery red haired maiden she leaped high over my head and i could feel the cool water spray on my face as she soared above me the suns rays glistened off her scaily tail my fiery red haired maiden was nothing more than a majestic and beautiful mermaid she swam up to me and reached out her hand i can hear the siren's call in the distance drawing me out to its heavenly music she took my hand and dove deep beneath the surface i watched as she took me on a majestic journey of wonder and adventure beneath the sea when i awoke, i was upon the shore and all around me was quiet i could not tell in this early morning hour wether i had dreamed it all up, or if it were real i sat there wondering will i ever see my fiery red haired maiden again only the goddess knows but one things for certain she will always be in my dreams by: Mordrid Morrigaine Destruelle |
