That Which Lurks Behind Me.

This is my last time for awhile
You only knew me after I fell
The truth is I don't know the truth
and now it's slowly coming after me

I just thought I'd tell you that
these days will soon be ending fast
and maybe you should know
the calendar is quickly chasing me

With this pencil in my pocket
and that notebook under my arm
I'll seal secrets like a locket
those secrets always coming after me

Not to mention all this dishonesty
Friends aren't friends around her anymore
I'm stating that fact so honestly
That the truth just trails behind me
