When I'd rather have suffocated than loved-or rather- when love suffocated.
Vultures

Lock the Doors
Pull them tightly closed
This ship is slowly sinking
To the bottom of a cold, dark sea

Hostile liquid!
Take these lungs
Which no longer breathe color

Shadows lashed
and screamed
in silence
but a heart drempt
that captured wolves ran free

Radiation of flesh
-and soul-
merged with yearnings,
and whispers of One.
Now
Erased respect, forgotten unity,
Evaporate as foam on water.

A Dying us! Slaughtered Wolves!
Life's unappreciated carcas
on blood stained, virgin snow

Draw away dear girl,
Slither
in Love's humilitiation
back into your cold,
dark sea.

Vultures can't find me there.
