Hopefully, Looking ahead.
The many ways I have spent my time,

The many hours I have watched go by,

All become a memory when I look ahead.

Thoughts of lovers that have faded and games that might have left me jaded,

In distant far off places in my mind,

Replay quietly when it's dark and peaceful,

They all become as if a fairy tale when I look ahead,

Pain that is over and never to return,

Friends that have passed,

Lessons Learned,

The morning and it's promises,

All seem so real today as I look ahead.

What of my past should be left in my story,

Edited, retold or was it too gorey?,

The times when I cried, the times when I laughed,

They are in my heart even though they have passed,

It's easy to feel hopeful when first you decide,

To look ahead.
