A haiku-style poem inspired by a Japanese silk painting
She blushes,
tight crimson lips pressed
in a coy smile.

She flutters
delicate long black lashes
like a flittering
black Swallowtail darting from lotus petals.

She tilts
her ink black tresses
jingling a red lacquor hair ornament as
she click-clacks
past me in her geta sandals.

Beauty.
She stands with an umbrella
under a willow.
