This is just something little I wrote. Just a small treat while I'm away. Enjoy it! |
Thomas was very tired. He'd been sitting at the same spot, studying for over three hours. He felt an urge to retire to his dormitory. When he tried reading another page, it only appeared blurry in his eyes. After a few other unsuccessful attempts, he gave up and left for his dorm. It was 1:10am when he left his classroom. Thomas was one of those students who burned the midnight candle just to get A's in every subject. Not only was he intelligent, he was determined and perseverant. However, he lacked the confidence needed to complete it. His tall, lean figure walked down the hill towards the domestic site of his boarding school. His vision was a bit bad because his eyelids had become heavy but his eyes fell on something so eerie, it made him almost jump to his feet! He was wide awake now, and he clearly saw what had gotten him so alert. It stood there, in fact it was sitting. Thomas found it hard picturing the figure's facial details. A woman. Definately, a woman. But it was no ordinary woman. It was something which appeared transparent, with tossed hair and tattered clothes and bare feet... All this while, Thomas trembled. Fear had gripped him all over. He was too frightened to utter any sound, it was as if his mouth down through his throat had frozen up. He'd heard these kind fof stories, but he'd never imagined... His books had already fallen to the ground. He just stood there and stared and stared. He'd come to realize he'd seen a ghost, a ghost woman. And apparently, it had noticed him too. She tilted her head towards him and before he knew it'd elevated into the sky. And with pure evil smeared on its face, it flew in Thomas's direction. The sinister grin it expressed was the most horrifying he'd ever seen... At this point, as he tried to make a run for it, his heart was pounding like never before . But before he knew it, he tripped and fell to the ground. The ghost had caught up with him and thinking it was his end, Thomas's heart gave way... ...and all he could cry out when he awoke in his classroom was the name "Jesus!" |
