This poem is about pain, one of the deepest feelings you can have.
Hate and Sorrow
are mixed within my veins.
Running cold,
they ignite my body
in agonizing convulsions
of pain and misery.
The tears run down my face
in angry torrents,
leaving bloodred streaks.
My head pounds, spliting me in two
with every beat of my broken heart.
I long to fill the empty,
meaningless void that is my life
with the love and affection I so crave.
I am hiding in a corner,
pressured, battered, and beaten by those
from whom I would have love.
Red and Black are the colors I see,
black of despair and red of the blood
I so long to free from my veins.
