A poem about what certain people told them.
My mother once told me that you'll never know a person until you actually live with them.
That the sweetest one in reality can be the one that cause you great pain.

I wish I would have listened to my mother when those exact words were spoken, because I could have been spending my days in luxury instead of spending them being broken.

My father once told me that sometimes a man will betray themselves as something they're really not,
and that you'll fade from their memory and soon be forgotten.

I wish I would have listened to my father when he exactly spoke those words, because my loved one would have heard my cries and I wouldn't be so hurt.

My sister once told me that falling in love was one of the greatest things.
That having someone love you back is better than hearing a mockingbird sing.

I wish I hadn't listen to my sister when she told her lies,
because I spend my days lonely with just my fear and my cries...
