She Used To Be Brave

On a cold spring day
A girl-child was born
To a tired old couple
With three adult sons

The girl-child needed time
That no one seemed to have
They just let her go on
Which is all just as bad

The girl-child growing older
And the passion she'd seen
Was there almost a baby
Or was it all a dream

The girl-child now woman
With a good job and a home
She used to be brave
But now she's alone
