A celebration of a new beginning
The Eve Of New Beginnings

Families gather to countdown the minutes
Anxiously checking the clocks

The house is filled with merriment
Joy and laughter rings throughout

Children follow at their parents heels
Blowing on little toy horns

Drinkers tumble as they try to stand
Making those nearby giggle

As the chime tolls the awaited hour
Confetti streams gently to the ground

Everyone cheers as the Year arrives
Bringing resolutions and new beginnings
